My Cork mini-marathon medals

I got these three medals in the 80s for running the Cork city mini-marathon... the height of my sporting achievement.

In the early 80s, I had two babies, so took up running with some friends to keep fit. I ran the race around Cork city in 1984, 1985 and 1986.

Really, I didn't run, it was more like jogging and fast walking. But I finished the race each time and have these medals to proof it!
