Phalaenopsis, Orchidaceae

The Phalaenopsis orchid is a popular flower with colourful hardy flowers. They can be grown with or without a scent and in a number of colours and sizes. They are native to south east Asia and northern Australia. Orchid Island in Taiwan is name after the Phalaenopsis.
