The paintings or photographs follow in quick succession. First, Franz Josef as a young man, dissolving to him as an old man. His villa at Bad-Ischl. Wilhelm II of Germany with Franz Josef. Franz Josef with his grandson Otto. A symbolic 'Death' crosses out the name of Franz Ferdinand on the family tree on 29th (sic) June 1914. Franz Ferdinand's bloodstained uniform after the assassination.
