The English port city of Plymouth

It is the largest city on the southern coast of England and is situated on the border of Cornish County. Its name is almost unpronounceable for non-English speakers: Plymouth. The city is so named because it is located at the mouth (in English: mouth) of the Plym River. For a long time it was the most important port of the British Empire, something that is perceived to this day.
