Radioactive contamination in Putten

Weeknummer 58-04

The house of the Haanschoten family in the Schoolstraat in Putten was contaminated with the radioactive substance radium after the 5-year old daughter Joke Haanschoten received medical treatment. The house has been cordoned off and the garden covered with a plastic sheet. All residents who have come into contact with the family are being examined for radioactivity at the State Police office.
