Carved Ivory Head of young Christ
An ivory head of a young Christ. It has a dowel in a socket in the straight cut neck. This head fits CG 016 (headless Madonna and Child), as does MG 017. If these are all part of the same piece it may indicate that the piece dates from the 14th century and is a devotional item.
