Ophiothrix fragilis
Ophiothrix fragilis prezintă un disc central aplatizat, de aproximativ 2 cm diametru, din care radiază cinci brațe lungi, cu spini, care pot ajunge la 10 cm. Este colorat variat, pornind de la violet-purpuriu până la roșu și gălbui sau gri-palid, cu pete roșiatice. Brațele sunt albe sau gri, cu benzi.
