Mănăstirea Sâmbăta, cunoscută și sub denumirea Mănăstirea Brâncoveanu de la Sâmbăta de Sus, este un așezământ monahal de călugări. Biserica actuală, cu hramul “Adormirea Maicii Domnului”, ctitorie a domnitorului Constantin Brâncoveanu, construită între anii 1696–1707 și pictată la interior în 1766 de zugravii Ionașcu și Pană, a fost dărâmată cu tunul de generalul Preiss în 1785, în timpul represiu…
