Ținta are capul rotund, plat. Cuiul a fost introdus într-un orificiu practicat în cap, nituit și sudat. El se remarcă prin secțiunea lui dreptunghiulară, mai rar întâlnită, fapt ce ne face să credem că a avut o destinație specială. Pe lângă rolul strict funcțional, o astfel de piesă oferea și un aspect plăcut, având deci și un rol decorativ.
