Obiectul are culoare brun roșcată, formă aproape cilindrică și este confecționat din lemn de prun, pentru că acestă estență lemnoasă are rezonață muzicală. Este legat cu benzi de alamă, înfășurate pe toată lungimea obiectului. Pe alamă sunt imprimate cu tiparul mici motive geometrice: puncte, romburi, semicercuri și cercuri.
