Female figurine
Figurines of sitting women (in labor?) were very popular in the Halaf period. In addition to body painting (bands of henna), traces of scarification are visible on the upper arms. This practice is already known from previous periods. On terracotta figurines, it is indicated with bumps of clay or painting.
