Great crested grebe (Podiceps cristatus) from Crasna

This is a young great crested grebe (Podiceps cristatus). The juveniles are black striped, don't have those head and neck decorations it is unmistakable. It feeds mostly on fish. Their mating display is impressive. The young grebes are often carried on the adult's back.
