The fifth annual Cleismer Festival is to open this evening in Safed in northern Israel.

Klezmer is a combination of two Hebrew words - klee, meaning (musical) instrument and zemer, meaning a song or tune. The three day festival will culminate on Thursday night with a mass wedding ceremony for about two dozen new immigrants.
