Horseshoe
This horseshoe, for everyday work, is for a hunting horse and is therefore designed to cope with travelling quickly over soft ground. It has six nail holes. The shoe was supplied by, and probably made by, a Mr Thomas, of Metcombe, Dorset, circa 1945–6. It is part of a large collection of traditional craft products acquired from the British Council in 1960.
