‘Icarus Alato’ sculpture in front of the Olympic Center

A sculpture of the legendary Icarus by Igor Mitoraj (1944-2014) installed in front of the Polish Olympic Committee in Warsaw in 2004. Icarus, the mythological pioneer of aviation, perfectly illustrates the ambitions that guide all athletes overcoming limits and breaking Olympic records.
