Private Gerald Arthur Coffey, Connaught Rangers

Gerald Arthur Coffey was born in Clonmel, County Tipperary in the year 1878. At the outbreak of The Great War, he was living in Dublin City and he immediately volunteered to serve. He travelled to Liverpool in England and enlisted in the 5th Battalion, Connaught Rangers , which battalion formd part of the 10th Irish Division.
