Kõpu lighthouse
Kõpu lighthouse is the symbol of Hiiumaa. It is also the oldest lighthouse remaining in the Baltics. The tower constructions began in 1505 and were finished by 1531. Built from boulders and limestone, the square side-supported pyramide shape reaches a height of 24,6 metres, each side 8,7 metres wide. A bonfire was lit on the flat limestone platform at the top.
