jug/harvest
An early nineteenth century Devon slipware jug or pitcher, globular body with short neck. The jug is decorated with inscriptions including "Mrs Evans 1817" (on side of the jug). On the other side of the jug is the following inscription: " Success to the Flees (fleece?)/ The plough and the flail/May the Landlord ever (flourish?)/ And tenet (tenant?)
