Finlandia Survey No 290

Some ten newsreels were made of the general strike. Newsreel 290 sums up the course of the 19-day general strike. Its most dramatic moments include the ‘petrol war’ and extremists’ scuffles. The newsreel culminates in the demonstration held on 16 March at the Senate Square that drew some 50,000 participants. General strike.
