The Announcement of the Passing of Gay Byrne

My Dad works in RTE, the national TV and Radio broadcaster in Ireland, in a communications role. This week, in November 2019, he played a major role in the announcement of the death of Gay Byrne, a legendary Irish TV chat show host and broadcaster.

To prepare for the sad announcement, my dad had to get quotes from RTE people who worked closely with Gay Byrne, like current presenters Ryan Tubridy…
