Het plangebied ligt net ten westen van de terrasrand, welke de overgang vormt van het Pleistocene bekken naar het Oost-Nederlandse Plateau. Mogelijk heeft het plangebied binnen een zone gelegen waar kwel optrad als gevolg van het hoogteverschil op korte afstand. In dit geval zal het plangebied, voordat grootschalige drainage plaatsvond, te nat zijn geweest om te fungeren als een geschikte bewoning…
