Strigă

Tyto alba este una dintre cele mai răspândite dintre bufnițe, trăiește pe toate continentele cu excepția Antarcticii. Subspecia guttata trăiește din centrul Europei, nordul Alpilor, Lituania, Letonia și Ucraina, sudul României, nord-estul Greciei și sudul Balcanilor.
